Hambone the Cowboy Guitar Guy

Plants vs. Zombies Plush: The Spies is the tenth episode from Plants vs. Zombies Plush. It aired on August 2, 2014.

Synopsis[]

After a failed contribution to Zomboss, Ed, Coney and Head Zombie have to be spies on a Map of Garden Warfare.

Plot[]

Dr. Zomboss is berating the zombies by saying "waa waa waa" repeatedly, causing Duckweed to ask him to speak English. As a result, Zomboss grabs him by his leaves and slams him around several times. Zomboss then notes that, following Hambone's failure in the previous episode (telling the cowboy zombie to shut up when he tries to apologize) and hopping away in Arnold's sack ("yeah Arnold didn't like that") he introduces his new minion, Dancey (this leads to a caption appearing on screen reading "Actual Name: Guitar Guy, Nickname: Dancey"). Guitar Guy constantly says "hee hee," with Zomboss noting he does that for every sentence. Guitar Guy then notices Little Fry and calls him a boy, upsetting the little zombie and causing him to hop away, with Guitar Guy following. Zomboss adds that Guitar Guy has the power to have his music hypnotize the plants and make them go to faraway lands or "go on acid trips, I don't know." Immediately, Zombotany 1 asks if they have any alcohol, adding Zombotany 2 wants some as well for a challenge they are doing; Zomboss then directs them to the alcohol and they run off.

Before he can continue, Head Zombie interrupts, revealing that he, Coney & Ed did something for him. The three zombies then sing "For He's a Jolly Good Zomboss." however, Zomboss dislikes it and berates Head Zombie. The latter is surprised thinking he'd like thier contribution ("that was a contribution? I've seen better contribution's from Duckweed's butt") and Zomboss asks the others to determine thier punishment. Buckethead suggests all three of them kiss, Ducktube suggests all three of them dance, and Duckweed suggests having them dress as plants and be spies. Zomboss likes that idea, but refuses to give Duckweed a promotion for it. The doc hands them thier costumes (cheap cutout masks of Winter Melon, Wall-nut, & Sunflower) and Ed thinks he looks pretty, while Coney believes he looks like "a sack full of eyeballs." Meanwhile, Newspaper can't keep himself from enjoying some laughs at Head Zombie's expense. Zomboss then yells at them to get going.

With the plants, Sunflowerstein is meeting with the "new recruits" and comments on thier size, but Head Zombie claims it's to allow them to do "plant stuff." She sends them to check on the plants on the other side of the fence, who are engaged in some secret activities and also tells them to get rid of any snails, since "they're annoying." A snail is then seen on a leaf and says "help me" and is squashed by Head Zombie as a black screen reading "Censored" appears. Head Zombie comments on the snail's brutal death, which has somehow caused water to appear; despite Coney's complaint about his costume getting wet, Head Zombie urges them to press on and they jump over the fence.

After they land (leading to Ed covered in burrs or "sticky things") Coney points out Kernel-pult & Cabbage-pult nearby; the cabbage replies with "that frickin' sniper's a spy," leading to Kernel confronting Ed, who claims to be one of the new recruits. Cabbage welcomes them and explains they are the only ones on the map ("map, what is this, TF2?"- Coney) and that the other plants are waiting for the zombies to attack. Head Zombie asks where the others are and Cabbage replies they are on the other side of the wall; Head Zombie protests that no one is there, but Cabbage says that's his problem and orders him to set up camp. While Coney & Head Zombie go off to do this, Ed asks Cabbage (who notes he's a man when Ed calls him "lady") if he can help to set up the Coconut Cannon. When Ed does, the cannon immediately recognizes him as a zombie, noting it's name is now Mr. Coconut and he has a change in voice to go along with this; when Mr. Coconut notes his brain is full of milk, Ed says they have that in common and asks if he knows any "special people."

Over with Head Zombie, he is angry over being covered in burrs and asks Coney why he isn't helping, and he replies he's taking a nap. Melon-pult then claims that Coney is a spy, and Head Zombie asks Cabbage why he always does that, with Cabbage replying it's just something the mods always do. Back with Ed, he asks Mr. Coconut if he likes to fire at zombies, and responds postively when he says he does. Back with Head Zombie, he is walking around, grumbling "that freakin' Kernel-pult's a spy," and begins investigating the area, hoping to find where the zombies attack from, but is told by Cabbage not to go there. Head Zombie then hears "the zombies are coming" and is ordered to run back to the camp area, and joins Cabbage, but he tells him to go out front since he's a Wall-nut. Head Zombie does so, then realizes he can tell Zomboss all he learned about the plants' strategy. Meanwhile, Kernel is seen looking on and accuses HZ of being a spy, with Coney saying "braaains" and Cabbage asking him to come closer to elaborate. Coney replies that he actually said "sun" (stretching the word out as long as possible) and Cabbage believes him, sending him off. Ed talks with Mr. Coconut, who relates to him a story of when he hit a guy with a coconut, but Cabbage interrupts and orders "Winter Melon" to get into position.

Norm, Newspaper & Hambone make thier move, with the latter wondering why he has to go (and is reminded it's because he failed the last time). Hambone then wonders if they will get weapons and finds a chunk of wood he names "the woody"; Newspaper then orders him to attack first, with Hambone admiring the sun instead and noting it's a good time to attack ("it's not even noon"- Newspaper). Head Zombie is surprised to see the zombies and Hambone, mistaking him for a Wall-nut, begins beating him with the wood. Norm & Newspaper then head out, and Newspaper says he feels he could do some poetry; meanwhile, as Hambone continues to attack Head Zombie, Newspaper appears with a large stake, and talks like a medievel knight, but Head Zombie moves aside and he crashes into the bush.

Head Zombie explains to his minions who he really is, but Hambone isn't covinced, causing him to show off his tie, butt & shoes; however after he says "I see the brains," they recognize him ("sorry I tried to stab you"- Newspaper). Head Zombie orders them to take out the plants, and Newspaper does so, knocking Kernel-pult out of the tree with a rubber ball he picks up, and taking out Melon-pult with his stick. However, after a long, hearty laugh, he is blasted by Mr. Coconut. Norm then heads out, and finds an Angry Bird themed message on the ground, and starts reading it. Watching on from nearby, Cabbage-pult orders Ed to attack, but he claims to not know how, since he's a "Winter Melon in training." So Cabbage throws a rock at Norm and takes him down as well. As Cabbage-pult talks to Ed, Coney sneaks up and pushes him off the wall, saying "it had to be done." Back with Head Zombie, Hambone asks what they do now with all the Pult Brothers gone, but Head Zombie says they don't have anything more to do; Hambone then continues to hit him with his wood before sneaking over to where Mr. Coconut is and knocking him off the wall, giving the Zombies the win.

Ed celebrates thier win by claiming it's time to make the pies, while Coney wonders if they can go home now. Head Zombie, meanwhile, revives Newspaper to let him know about thier victory and says they have to find the plants. However, an error message (which claims that the zombies have won and are now butthurt) pops up and they are somehow transported back to the garden. As the zombies search for the remaining plants, Split Pea appears to admit they don't know where the plants are either, leading to the heads arguing with each other. After Ed makes a joke about thier multiple heads, Split Pea tries to high five Coney, only to accidentally pull off his mask, revealing his true identity. The game up, Head Zombie takes off his mask, leading to Split Pea summoning several other plants, who dogpile on Head Zombie and pound him (with him saying "oink" like King Pig at one point, which he actually points out). The three zombies are assaulted by the plants, as Jacques Offenbach's "Can-Can" plays in the background, with Fume-Shroom inking Head Zombie, causing him to get mad and call him a "piece of s***."

Sunflowerstein then appears to comment on Head Zombie's inking, revealing she knew they were zombies the whole time and she deliberatly allowed them to try to blend in with the plants, knowing "the idiot" would eventually take off his disguise ("it was a high five"- Coney) so they could attack them. Sunflowerstein then kisses him on the cheek and walks off. Head Zombie asks why she did that, and Chili Bean tells him it was so she could taunt him, then leaves to go to the bathroom. The video ends with Wall-nut yelling at Fume-Shroom to watch his aim next time, as he got some ink on him.
